George Bernard Saunders, 76, born in Knoxville, Tenn. and a resident of Daphne, passed away Sunday, Jan. 11, 2015.
He proudly served in the United States Army, was a member of the Freemasons and retired as a life support technician with McDermott Inc.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Charles William and Abbie Saunders.
He is survived by his daughters, Heidi Saunders of Daphne, Heather (Holbrook) Horridge of Bradenton, Fla. and Melissa (Nicholas) Carroll of Daphne; grandchildren, Juliana Saunders, Holden and Hayden Horridge, and Wade Calhoun; brothers, John Saunders and Henry (Joanna) Saunders; and other relatives and wonderful friends.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015 at Fairhope Avenue Baptist Church, 8717 Fairhope Ave. in Fairhope.
