George Eugene “Dick” Moorer Sr., 85, died at his residence on Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013.
He was a clerk (retired) at the ABC Store.
He is survived by two daughters, Susan (Joe) Hadley of Phillipsville and Gwen (Ray) Harville of Rabun; two brothers, Frank Moorer of Phillipsville and Walter Moorer of White House Fork; four sisters, Mary Mixon of Bay Minette, Luverne Berry of Hattiesburg, Miss., Dale Akins of Bay Minette and Margaret Wallace of Crossroads; two grandchildren, Wes (Angie Davis) Hall of Phillipsville and Kimberly (Ryan) Watson of Rabun; and five great-grandchildren, Dustin Watson, Peyton Watson, Jayden Watson, Courtney Hall and Caleb Hall.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Moorer; and his son, George E. Moorer Jr.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013, at 2 p.m., at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home, with Sister Helen Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, from 6 until 9 p.m., at Norris Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be T.J. Thompson, Gary Cooper, Rob Wallace, Ronnie Wallace, Donnie Wallace and Mark Hadley.
