George Geci, age 91, a native of Warsaw, Wis., and resident of Summerdale, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 23, 2013.
He was a WWII Vet, serving on the USS West Virginia in the Pacific, and a founding member of Marlow-Fish River Volunteer Fire Department. He is preceded in death by his son, Eugene Geci. He is survived by his wife of 71 years, Bertie Geci of Summerdale; children, Linda Robinson of Summerdale, Ken Geci (Hilda) of Huntsville, Nancy Anderson (Jerry) of Fairhope, Norma Wiggins (Larry) of Stapleton, 11 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren,three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Edwin Geci (Joy) of Mobile, other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Friday, Jan. 25, 2013, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, 2013, at 10 a.m., the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope. Interment will be at Marlow Cemetery.
