George Lawrence Crandall Jr., 73, died Monday, April 8, 2013.
Mr. Crandall was a native of New Castle, Ind. and a resident of Magnolia Springs. He was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran, graduate of Indiana University, retired accountant, member of the American Legion and he was of the Baptist faith.
Mr. Crandall was preceded in death by his parents, George Lawrence Crandall Sr. and Ethel Lennicx Crandall; and a brother, Steven Crandall.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Sarah Jane Reuter Crandall; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Crandall of Chicago, Ill. and Amy Jane (Joe) Baratta of Gladstone, N.J., a sister, Susan D. Crandall of Bay Minette; and two grandchildren, Alex and Caroline Baratta.
Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, April 12, 2013, at 11 a.m., at Woodlawn Cemetery in Springport, Ind. with Main & Davis Funeral Home in New Castle, Ind. directing.
