Gerald S. McCool, 78, a native of Detroit, and a resident of Elberta, died Friday, March 30, 2012 in Fairhope.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene E. McCool; son, Mark A. McCool; and daughter, Diane M. McCool. He is survived by his four children, Dr. Gerald B. (Mary) McCool, EL Paso, Texas, Dr. Kathleen Janowski McCool, Foley, Sherrie McCool (Dan) Bott, Elberta, and Jeffery P. (Kristin) McCool, Hobbs, N.M.; 10 grandchildren, Logan, Atheal, Mark, August, Audrey, Brevin, Teagan, Dakota, Conlin and Jackson.
Visitation will be Tuesday April 3, 2012 from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at St. Margaret’s Queen of Scotland Catholic Church in Foley. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow. Interment services will be later at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Southfield, Mich. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to St. Benedict’s Catholic School, Elberta, or Community Hospice, Foley.
