Gerda Louise Feil Cassebaum, 77, a native of Addison, Ill. and a resident of Lillian, died Saturday, July 19, 2014.
She was a member of St. Mark’s Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Cassebaum was preceded in death by her
husband, Curtis Carl Cassebaum; and parents, Gottfried and Gerda Feil.
She is survived by her two daughters, Dianna Shirley and Pam (Jeremy) Lay; a son, Todd (Hope) Cassebaum; eight grandchildren, Kristin Cassebaum, Kelsey Cassebaum, August Cassebaum, Elisa Kinard, Karl Shirley, Tanner Kinard, Madison Lay and Morgan Lay; two great-grandchildren, Destiny and Amelia Hauck; a brother, Werner (Ellen) Feil of Bon Secour; many nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley on Tuesday, July 22, 2014, from 5 until 7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held from St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Elberta on Wednesday, July 23, 2014, at 2 p.m.
Interment will follow in St. Mark’s Lutheran Cemetery.
The family will have a celebration of life following at Cassebaum Farm in Lillian.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made in memory of Gerda Cassebaum to the American Cancer Society.
