Gertis B. Lewis Jones, 86, a native of New Brockton and resident of Loxley, died Saturday, April 28, 2012.
Mrs. Jones was a long-time active member of the Loxley First Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by husband, A.J. “Pete” Jones; and son, Robert L. Jones Sr. She is survived by daughter, Kathy E. (Wayne) White, Silverhill; son, Charles D. (Debbie) Jones, Spanish Fort; sister, Gladys Barefoot, Columbus, Ga.; brother, Lonza Lewis, Spanish Fort; 11 grandchildren, Jeffery D. White, Ashley L. Burch, Tammy L. Washington, Robert L. Jones, Jr., Lisa L. Jones, Kellie Jones, Stephanie K. Jones, Jonathan A. Jones, Nicholas D. Gates, Jill R. Gates, Daniel Gates; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 1, at 2 p.m. at Mack Funeral Home Chapel with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Greenwood Cemetery, Loxley.
