Since recent events clearly demonstrate just how dangerous police work can be, its hard to believe even our city government would spend $25,000 to send school kids to a parade in Chicago but force our SWAT team to buy its own equipment!

Sure, its hard to say no to the kids, Councilman Ford, but it ought to be even harder to say no to potentially life-saving equipment for our over-extended Police Department. Homeowners are just getting killed with soaring property taxes/energy costs, etc. (no tax dollars to waste), so let’s get our priorities straightened out — please.
