It is that time of year to begin planning for Newton School Library's eighth annual Gift of Reading Program. This is a much anticipated library activity for all of our students.
Our children look forward to having guest readers come to our school to share a Christmas book with them. The Gift of Reading program will be Dec. 5-9. We would love to have you come and share your favorite Christmas book with our students. If you prefer, you may select a Christmas book from our collection to read. Please reserve some time on your calendar for that week.
I have listed the days and times available for guest readers to share with our students. I have also listed the grade, since some of your prefer to read to a certain age group. The reading usually only takes about 15 minutes, but I list the entire time the class will be in the library that day. I hope that you will be able to share your “gift of reading” with our students.
