Thomas William “Tommy” Giles, a native and resident of Robertsdale, died Wednesday, July 14, 2010.
He was a truck driver and for the past 20 years, drove for Severt Trucking, Jacksonville, Fla., and he also served in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Oliver Giles.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Giles of Robertsdale; two daughters, Lisa Giles Etheredge of Rosinton and Mary Giles (Carl) Lowery of Robertsdale; son, Thomas William Giles Jr. of Robertsdale; three step-daughters, Sandra (Jay) Chimento of Mobile, Casey (Stan) Bonner of Manhattan, Kan., and Cindy (Michael) Darby of Loxley; two step-sons, Donnie (Katie) Gibson of Atmore and Tommy Gibson of Robertsdale; his mother, Ruby Phillips Giles of Robertsdale; two sisters, Thresa Giles Price and Glenda Lynette Giles, both of Robertsdale; four brothers, Oliver “Bud” Giles of Summerdale, Derial Giles of Loxley, Phillip Giles of Silverhill and Bobby Giles of Robertsdale; eight grandchildren, 10 step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 21 at the Robertsdale Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Michael Lynn officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Cemetery in Robertsdale.
