Gillard Martin Roberson Sr., age 72, of Elberta, passed away on Friday, Sept. 28, 2012 at his home.
Roberson was a native of the Pineview community and worked in the construction industry as a self-employed home builder. He was a resident of Elberta for 12 years coming from Gulf Shores and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by a son, Gillard M. (Jill) Roberson Jr., of Elberta; daughters, De Vester R. Thomley of Robertsdale; Donna Sue Roberson of Walchula, Fla.; sister, Shirley Connell of Foley; grandchildren, DaKota Paige Roberson, an additional grandson, and great-grandchild, Emmett Thomley. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 at Craver's Funeral Home Chapel from 1 p.m. until service time at 2 p.m. at Craver's Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Charles Dugger officiating. Interment will follow in Pineview Cemetery, Flomaton, Ala. Pallbearers will be Joe Ellis, Steven Harbeson, Chase Odom, Jason Dixon, Jamie Paul.
