Johnny Lee Gillian, 58, a native of West Virginia and resident of Fairhope, died Thursday, May 8, 2008, at a local hospital.
He was a Vietnam veteran and retired from the City of Fairhope as the assistant supervisor of the Electric Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Luther Elmer Gillian and Hazel Madeline Wills Gillian Lilly; brother, Dwight David Gillian.
Survivors include his wife, Penny Jensen Gillian of Fairhope; two daughters, Dolly Gillian (Elliot) Harrell of Robertsdale and Sonya Gillian Williams of Fairhope; grandchildren, Brandy LeeAnn and Victoria Paige Smith, Logan Maxwell and Morgyn Kayleigh Williams; two brother, Buford Gillian of Fairhope and Carrey Luther Gillian of Shady Springs, W.Va.; two sisters, Judy McCloud of Sandstone, W.Va., and Janice (Lonnie) McCall of Mitchell, Ga.; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation begins at noon Saturday, May 10 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home with funeral services at 2 p.m. from the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens.
