SPANISH FORT, Ala. — Advanced Transmission hosted its bi-annual, free Ladies Car Care Clinic on April 16.

In conjunction with the event, the business gave local Girl Scouts the opportunity to earn their “Car Sense' badge by helping them recognize and meet the challenges they will face as drivers and care takers of a vehicle.

The business’ staff provided hands-on training including how to properly check and service vital fluids, tips for better fuel efficiency, changing a tire.

Spanish Fort police officers Vince Miller and Sgt. Cam Callaway spoke to the scouts, answering questions on highway safety tips and how to avoid common teenage driving violations.
