With the holiday season already here, the recession is keeping us more at home and maybe the gift buying this year has been cut somewhat.
But one of the greatest gifts you can give your young child is the understanding of who they are, and time. Home for a young child is in the heart and hands of their parents and caregivers. All children are different, unique, and have different needs. But there are basic needs of all children that can be observed, met and encouraged during this holiday time of being at home and being together.
Celebrate their life every day in little ways. When listening to your child or children keep that focus with your eyes and attention on them. Try to set aside a special time just to listen to that child. Remember to find ways to praise your child.
True love is shown to children when you guide them with discipline and rules that will help them succeed in today’s world.
