A Baldwin County grand jury will review evidence against a Daphne man charged with second-degree burglary involving the July 26 forced entry and theft of various items from a North Main Street apartment.
Jonathan Elbert Harrison, 21, of Chinquapin Drive, was arrested shortly after the incident when he was spotted with stolen items, according to a deposition filed in District Court by Daphne detective Joe Sullivan.
Harrison entered the Daphne residence at 5:30 a.m., took a semi-automatic pistol, electronic games, a videocassette recorder and a digital camera collectively valued at $1,350, the deposition states.
He was released from the Baldwin County Corrections Center Aug. 21 after spending 25 days in jail and posting a $15,000 bail, according to documents filed by the Sheriff’s Department.
Harrison did not show up Sept. 6 for a requested preliminary hearing and the case was sent to the grand jury, according to Baldwin County District Court records.
