Glenna Annette “Ann” Lassitter, 73, of Robertsdale, passed away Friday, Jan. 16, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry Soloman and Ruby Catherine Skipper; and three brothers, Laverne, Carl and George (Mary) Skipper.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John Kenneth Lassitter; three daughters, Cathy (Doug) Byrd of Robertsdale, Gwen (Michael) Windham of Robertsdale and Debbie (Jim) Clark of Daphne; a brother, Hollis (Georgena) Skipper of Las Cruces, N.M.; five grandchildren, Michael (Donald) Johansson, Carrie (Victor) Richerson, Jonathan (Lindsey) Byrd, Kimberly Windham and John Clark; two great-grandchildren, Clarabel and Matthew Tucker; many nieces and nephews; and her pets, Skipper and Casper.
Mrs. Lassitter spent her life loving and caring for her husband, family and extended family. She was an excellent cook, enjoyed working in her beautiful flower gardens, playing with her great-grandchildren, shopping with her daughters and spending time with her beloved dogs.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, at 10 a.m., at Greenwood Community Covenant Church in Summerdale.
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until time of the service.
Interment will follow at Wynn Cemetery in Summerdale.
