Mary Susan Tolbert Godwin, 55, a native of Bay Minette and a resident of Fairhope, died Sunday, March 9, 2008 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.
She was a self-employed caregiver.
Survivors include her husband, James D. Godwin of Pine Grove; daughter, Shianne N. (Travis) Mitchum of Stapleton; two grandchildren, Emily Mitchum and Sierra Mitchum; four brothers, James B. (Charlotte) Tolbert Jr., Charles D. (Shirley) Tolbert and Joseph Q. (Rhonda) Tolbert, all of Pine Grove and Patrick W. (Darla) Tolbert of Spanish Fort; and two sisters, Gayle T. (Ernest) Bishop of Fairhope and Rachel M. (Jeff) Black of Pine Grove.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, March 12 at Southside Baptist Church with Dr. Wayne Cornelius officiating. Burial followed at Pine Grove Cemetery.
The active pallbearers were Joey Tolbert, Bunky Bishop, Wade Tolbert, Dalyn Tolbert, Bob Young and Vernon Hadley.
Arrangements were made by Norris Funeral Home, Bay Minette.
