FOLEY, Ala. — South Baldwin art lovers will soon have fun bidding on artwork by top local artists and artisans. Going, Going, Gone Over Art!, a premier art auction, presented by Jan’s Art Studio in Foley, will offer more than 100 works of art to the highest bidders.

Going, Going, Gone Over Art! is set for Dec. 12, at 7 p.m., with refreshments and previewing at 6 p.m.

At that time, interested bidders may register, get a bidding number and receive a complete auction catalog.

Those who wish to preview the works at leisure may do so on Dec. 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the auction site — 119 W. Laurel Ave., one block west of Highway 59, next to Stacey’s Drug Store.

The auction offers many seasonal works, perfect for Christmas gift-giving. Also, paintings in oil, acrylic and watercolor, and limited edition, signed-by-the artist prints, as well as wood and clay sculptures, will be on the auction block.

Professional auctioneer Bruce I. Miller of Southern Auction Service LLC (No. 1489) will wield the gavel and keep the fun, action and artworks moving.

A 10 percent buyer’s premium is added to all purchases.

Cash and checks are accepted at the auction. Catalogs are available the night of the auction, or at the preview showing.
