ORANGE BEACH, AL — The Orange Beach Aquatics Center will be the host site for the Breakout Swim Clinic featuring Matt Grevers, Olympic Gold Medal Winner on Saturday, Oct. 1.

The Youth Clinic is presented by TNT Swimming & Southeastern Swimming and will allow children to experience in-water demonstrations and instruction with Grevers.

Matt Grevers is an American competition swimmer who competes in the backstroke and freestyle events, and is a six-time Olympic medalist. At the 2008 Summer Olympics, Grevers won gold medals as a member of the U.S. teams in the 4×100-meter freestyle and 4×100-meter medley relays, and a silver medal in the 100-meter backstroke. Four years later at the 2012 Summer Olympics, he won gold in the 100-meter backstroke and the 4×100-meter medley relay, and silver in the 4×100-meter freestyle.

The Mutual of Omaha Breakout Swim Clinic is part of the 2016 Southeastern Swimming Hall of Fame Weekend and Swimposium in Orange Beach. The event also includes a Parents Seminar conducted by Dave Thomas, USA Swimming Sports Consultant at the Orange Beach Recreation Center, adjacent to the Aquatics Center.
