Henry Gerald Goodson, 83, a native of Seranage, and a resident of Bay Minette, died Monday, Oct. 5, 2009 at North Baldwin Infirmary.
He was a supervisor of public works at Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Fla. He served in World War II and Korea with the U.S. Navy.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jason Norris, three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Betty Joyce Newton Goodson of Bay Minette; four daughters, Sherrie Parker of Stockton, Paula (Stewart) Norris of Spanish Fort, Jerry (Byron) Lundy of Mobile and Lisa (Jon) Holland of Stockton; nine grandchildren, Melonie Alexander, Clay Stevens, Matthew Stevens, Joey Norris, Jennifer Weaver, Donnie Findley, Jessica Leachman, Bridget Bryars and Cody Holland; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Mable Hogan of Atmore.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 9 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Helen Stewart officiating. Burial with military honors by the U.S. Navy honor guard will follow at McCullough Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Jamie Weaver, Clay Stevens, Matthew Stevens, Donnie Findley, Cody Holland and Joey Norris.
