Grace Daugherty Nelson, a lifelong resident of Foley, was born June 7, 1921 and departed this life to be with the Lord Saturday, March 28, 2015 surrounded by her family. Grace was a charter member of Summerdale Church of Christ.
She is survived by two daughters, Louise (Billy) Lambert and Carolyn (David) Till, both of Foley; four sons, Leonard (Lyndia) Daugherty of Foley, Henry (Betty) Daugherty of Baton Rouge, La., Mylan Daugherty and Jerry (Sandy) Daugherty, both of Foley; nine grandchildren, Todd, Melanie, Ashley, Chris, Misty, Brian, Heather, Alicia and Angie; three sisters, Mae Smith, Barbara Williams and Marjorie Snook, all of Foley; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 31, 2015, at 10 a.m.; at Summerdale Church of Christ.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
