Grady Lee Walton, 92, born in Stockton and a resident of Bay Minette, died Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 at North Baldwin Infirmary.

He was a diesel mechanic (retired) for the Baldwin County Board of Education.

He was a veteran of World War II, having served with the U.S. Army. He was also a member of Stockton Masonic Lodge No. 142, F.&A.M.

He is survived by three sons, James (Susan) Walton of Robertsdale, Kenneth (Bonnie) Walton of Bay Minette and Donald (Debbie) Walton of Iron City, Tenn.; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Jessie Lee Averitt Walton; a brother, Albert Walton and one great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, at 3 p.m., at the old sanctuary of New Life Baptist Church, with the Rev. John Montalvo and the Rev. Otis Thames officiating. Burial will follow at New Life Baptist Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Sunday, Feb. 23, 2014, from 1 until the 3 p.m., service at New Life Baptist Church.

Pallbearers will be Shane Boyington, Jeff Hunt, David Carlisle, Waylon Amos, Brian Walton and Ricky Pfeffer.
