BAY MINETTE, Ala. — McDonald’s Restaurant employee Jamonicia Renea Davis allegedly told Daphne police she was robbed Sept. 20 at midnight by two masked men as she attempted to deposit $1,326 in receipts at Vision Bank.
But Daphne detectives became suspicious when her statements were inconsistent with statements supplied by passenger Antwaun Demario Henderson, according to a deposition filed in Baldwin County District Court.
Davis and Henderson each said the other gave the offenders the money bag. Davis said her windows were closed, while Henderson said they were open, and police found no evidence of Davis’ vehicle on video surveillance cameras at the banking facility.
The Baldwin County grand jury indicted Davis, 29, of South Wasson Avenue in Whistler on second-degree theft of property and false reporting to law enforcement.
Henderson, 23, of Tucker, Ga., was true billed on the same charges.
Davis was released on $6,000 bail, while Henderson was released on $5,000 bail, according to court records.
