Calvin Joseph Greek, 81, a native and a resident of Bay Minette, died Sunday, Aug. 9, 2009 at his residence.
He was a self employed truck driver and he served our country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Marie Goins Greek and his son, Larry Greek.
Survivors include his children, Maxine Harville of Bay Minette, Brenda Workman of Pensacola, Fla., James “Bubba” (Lynn) Greek and Linda Hulbert, both of Bay Minette, Carolyn (Larry) Foxworth of Acworth, Ga., Judy (Danny) Boyington and Glenda Owens, both of Bay Minette; brother, William Greek of Bay Minette; his companion, Bennie Roulier of Bay Minette; 17 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with the Rev. Val Obregon officiating. Burial with military honored rendered by the U.S. Army Honor Guard of Fort Rucker will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Brian Bryars, Allen Peppie, Keith Stalcup, Gary Goins, Royce Jerkins and Jake Branum.
The family requests memorial donations be made to the American Cancer Society, Baldwin County Office, 19059 Greeno Road, Fairhope, AL 36532.
