William Patrick “Pat” Green, 87, a native of Concordia, Kan., and a resident of Daphne, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2010 at his residence.
He proudly served his country in the Army Air Corps during World War II in the Europian Theater.
He was preceded in death by three infant sons, Joseph, Harold and Claude Green.
Survivors include his wife, Donelda B. Green of Daphne; three sons, William F. (Rita) Green of Fairhope, Dennis D. (Juliana) Green of Pensacola, Fla., and Alexander P. Green of Daphne; five daughters, Marcella (Johnny) Baggette of Huntsville, Cecilia (Billy) Tomberlin of Mobile, Elizabeth (Pat) King of Fairhope, Mary (Mike) Francis and Loretta MacDonald, both of Daphne; 26 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren; two brothers, John Green of Corpus Christi, Texas, and David (Marion) Green of Mathis, Texas; and a sister, Loretta Durbin of Marietta, Calif.
Visitation, followed by a Mass of Christian burial was held Thursday, Feb. 11 at Christ The King Catholic Church. Interment followed at Belforest Catholic Cemetery. A reception was held in the Assumption Hall after the cemetery burial.
