James Roger Green, 62, a native of Mobile and a resident of Irvington, died Friday, Oct. 30, 2009 at Springhill Memorial Hospital in Mobile.
He was a police officer with the Mobile Police Department for 14 years and a probation officer for one year. He was commander of the Sons of American Legion, Post 88, Mobile.
Survivors include his wife, Diane Mathers Green of Irvington; daughter, Sherry Lynn (Eric) Morrison of Spanish Fort; three grandchildren, Jonathon Michael Morrison, Stephen Kyle Morrison and Jared Blake Morrison; brother, Herman Wayne (Sherry) Green of Mobile; and a sister, Darlene (Everett) Gillis of Bay Minette.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3 from the chapel of Norris Funeral Home with Chaplain Ron Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Halls Fork Cemetery in Bay Minette.
