Christel Leigh Gregg and William Snyder Brown Jr. were united in marriage at 6 p.m. Nov. 22, 2008 at St. Francis at the Point Traditional Episcopal Church in Point Clear. The Right Rev. Charles Morley officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Stephen Gregg of Montrose. She is the granddaughter of Pat Wright of Fairhope.
The bridegroom is the son of Jere Moore Brown of Mountain Brook and the late William Brown.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a gown by Lazaro. The ivory, charmeuse sheath gown was hand beaded and embroidered. The gathered empire bodice was accented with beaded straps and had a chapel-length train.
The bride wore her mother’s wedding veil that was hand beaded and attached with a crystal comb.
She carried a hand-gathered bouquet of blue and white hydrangeas, lisianthus and white lilies tied with a brown ribbon. She carried a handkerchief belonging to her grandmother with her bouquet.
Mrs. Jeremiah Brock of Orange Beach served as honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Charles Harper Gregg, sister-in-law of the bride, of Fairhope; and Traci Marie Pate of Jupiter, Fla.
The bridesmaids wore floor-length, empire gowns of chocolate with ice blue sashes and carried bouquets of blue and white hydrangeas tied with brown ribbons.
Flower girl was Alayna Monroe Brock of Orange Beach. She wore a gown of white organza with an ice blue sash and carried a basket of white rose petals.
John Fletcher Brown Sr. and Ross Snyder Brown, brothers of the bridegroom, both of Mountain Brook, served as best men. Groomsmen were Charles Harper Gregg, brother of the bride, of Fairhope, Aron Eugene Bennett of Jupiter, Fla., and Myles Linton Fenn of Ft. Myers, Fla.
Wedding music and vocals were provided by Brenda Isbell.
A reception at the Point Clear Tennis Club followed the ceremony.
After a wedding trip to Antiqua, the couple will reside in Tequesta, Fla.
