Gretchen Stackhouse Carruth, age 85, a native of New Orleans, La., and long time resident of Baldwin County, passed away Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012.
She was the wife of the late, Stuart Carruth. She is survived by her daughter, Janna Carruth Dyas (Tom) of Auburn; son, Stuart Carruth Jr. (Louise) of Halifax, Nova Scotia; five grandchildren, Hannah Niketas (Bill), Lauren Dyas, Eron, Anna, and Justin Carruth and one great-grandson, Thomas Drayton Niketas. Services to be held on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2012 at 12 p.m., at St. James Episcopal Church in Fairhope. In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to the St. James Memorial Fund at 860 North Section Street, Fairhope.
