Leon Griffin, 68, of Bay Minette, died Friday, May 8, 2009, one day before his 69th birthday, at his residence.
He was a native of Stockton and had lived in Bay Minette for many years. He had attended Vaughn School in Stockton and was a retired laborer with the Newport Chemical Company in Bay Minette.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Eloise Griffin; three sisters, Emma Harvey, Mary Dunson and Ida Griffin; and a brother, Harris Lee Griffin.
Survivors include a sister, Mable L. Griffin of Bay Minette; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 16 at Morning Dove Baptist Church in Perdido with the Rev. Stanley Cox, officiating. Burial will follow at Robinson Cemetery in Stockton.
Arrangements are by Turner Funeral Chapel and LLC, Atmore.
