Ray and Charlotte Whisenaut of Altoona announce the engagement of their daughter, Summer Michelle Grigsby, to Joshua Daniel Gilley, the son of Daniel Lee Gilley, Steve and Ruth Subel of Foley.
The bride-elect is a 2002 graduate of Etowah High School. She is employed as an independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay cosmetics.
She is the granddaughter of Cathleen Kelton of Gadsden and the late James Charles Kelton, Louise Whisenant of Altoona and the late Jessie Ray Whisenant.
The prospective bridegroom is a 1992 graduate of Foley High School. He is a police officer with the City of Orange Beach.
He is the grandson of the late Reginald and Addy Gilley of Lillian, and the late Frank and Ruby Lewak of Foley.
The couple will exchange vows at 2 p.m. April 5, 2008 on the beach in Orange Beach.
