GSES 1st grade dines with principal

Several students in Mrs. Shirley's first grade class were able to enjoy lunch with the principal, Mrs. Julie Pierce at Gulf Shores Elementary School. The students earned this special treat by obtaining 50 Gotchas for good behavior at school. This special honor was created by our new Positive Behavior System in which all the teachers at Gulf Shores are implementing. Lunch with the Principal is just one incentive for students, others include teacher's chair for the day, writing with a special pen, choosing a book to read to the class, and many others. The children thoroughly enjoy receiving "Gothcas" for exhibiting good behavior and the teachers thoroughly enjoy giving them to the students. The Positive Behavior System at Gulf Shores Elementary School has made a positive impact on the students and created incentives for each student to try to achieve!!!
