Mrs. Cendy Hart’s 2nd grade students at Gulf Shores Elementary School have been using the ipad to research a few of our national symbols. The groups researched the bald eagle, American Flag, White House, Statue of Liberty, and the Liberty Bell.

The students created a poster using the nonfiction features we learned about this year during comprehension toolkit.

Nonfiction features include: photograph, illustration, caption, label, map, diagram, headline, and title.

Statue of Liberty (l to r) - Olivia Edmonds, Quin Rochelle, Bry Strickland

Whitehouse (l to r)- Sage Fuller, Michael Monteleone, Bennett Reetz, Camryn Martin
