The second grade classes at Gulf Shores Elementary School are gearing up for their end of the year DIBELS assessment by participating in Troop 90 Boot Camp! One reading goal for second graders at the end of the year is to read 90 words per minute. The students are practicing each night to reach the daily goal set by their teacher. When they have done this, they receive a star for their helmets the next day. Pictured are several of the students who have earned many stars for their diligent effort. We’re proud of our boot-campers!
