Gulf Chrysler Dodge Jeep Dealership and RAM were proud to be the "Official Automotive Sponsor" of the 20th Annual Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation Professional Rodeo and generously presented their check on Monday, August 21st. Rodeo festivities included crowning of the Rodeo Queens, two benefit barrel races, courtesy of Summerdale Western Store and Nova Barrel Racing Productions, and “Hometown Heroes” on Thursday night, a tribute to military and emergency services personnel.
Executive Director, Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation, Allison Faircloth said: “We could not be more grateful for the overwhelming community support and special touches which made the 20th Annual Rodeo the best yet. Over $100,000 was raised to support the 1,200 Peer Helpers who serve as the ultimate prevention and support team in our schools across Baldwin County.”
All proceeds from the Rodeo benefited the Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation, a nonprofit organization providing training, funding and support of Peer Helper Programs in over 50 public and private schools in Baldwin County impacting the lives of nearly 30,000 youth Pre-K through 12th grade. The Peer Helper programs empower students to serve as tutors, mentors, mediators and friends to their fellow students, supporting them through academic or personal struggles including preventing bullying, avoiding dropout, leaving destructive relationships, helping new students adjust and much more.
The Jennifer Claire Moore Foundation prides itself on executing a quality family friendly event for our youth, Baldwin County locals as well as those who travel to the area from outside the county. We’d like to thank the countless volunteers, supporters, contestants and patrons who made the 20th Annual Professional Rodeo such a fun-filled, successful weekend! Save the date for next year, August 2nd, 3rd and 4th at the City of Foley Horse Arena. For more information visit PeerHelpers.org.
