Gulf Shores and Orange Beach parents: Oil spill counseling reinstituted

Posted

As a result of the Gulf Oil Spill, Project Rebound has been reinstituted.  Mental health counselors are available to meet and talk with parents, students, teachers, etc. in order to help them deal with this disaster.

Assistance can be provided for uniforms/clothing, food, utilities, mortgage/rent, transportation, etc.  Plans are also being made to secure funding to assist families who may want to send their children to summer camps.

Please visit the website at http://www.projectrebound.org/.  While on the website, please click on the link that says Baldwin Resources.  This will provide you with a listing of all the different resources that are available to parents here in Baldwin County.

If you are a family, parent, student, etc. who is in need of help, you may call this 1-800-number:  1-800-639-REBOUND.  Counselors are available 24/7.

Should you need to talk directly with Paige Rucker, State Director for Alabama Mental Health, she may be reached at 978.6149, or via e-mail at paige@projectrebound.org.
