GULF SHORES, Ala. — Members of the Gulf Shores Beautification Board have been discussing events not only for the rest of this year, but also for the 2011 Arbor Day. In the planning stages is this year’s Christmas Village with the theme “Home for the Holidays.”  Businesses and residents are encouraged to enter a building in the village. They can build their own or, as a fund raiser, Boy Scout Troop 49 will help with the building, putting up and storing of the “little” buildings which will be on display at this year’s Holiday Village for the City of Gulf Shores’ Christmas Open House. If you would like to participate in the Small Towns and Downtowns event, please contact the City of Gulf Shores Special Events Division at 251-968-1170. For help from Boy Scout Troop 49 (fundraiser), please contact Tony Deliberto at 251-968-6517.
