Sara Altmyer’s second-grade class received a treat recently to celebrate their class receiving their first 10 “Dolphin Dollars” for excellent behavior outside of the classroom.
“Dolphin Dollars” are part of the program Positive Behavior Support that Gulf Shores Elementary School has adopted this year to encourage students to manage their behavior outside of the classroom. The treat in Altmyer’s class this time was “Kitty Litter Cake!” One of the reading groups read “Horrible Harry and the Triple Revenge” and the recipe for this cake was intriguing to them. It looked like the real thing but tasted much better.
