Gulf Shores Middle Schools eighth-grade students will get the opportunity to go on an enjoyable and informative field trip. They will be traveling to the Career Expo in Mobile. There, they will be given two hours to visit the eleven different “Career Worlds.” They will receive a passport, which they will get stamped in each Career World they visit. They will be encouraged to get a stamp in at least five different Career Worlds.

The Worlds of Opportunity Career Expo will take place on  Sept. 30 at the Greater Gulf State Fairgrounds. More than six thousand eighth-grade students from several different counties will be participating in the event. The reason for the field trip is so the students can get ideas of what type of work they would like to do in the future.

There are two different halls that the students can explore. Between halls they can go to the courtyard and explore more careers. This is the first year that Gulf Shores Middle School students will be attending the Expo.
