GULF SHORES, Ala. — At one of the GSGC's meetings this year, Elaina Herring, member of GSGC & also President of SBCT expressed a desire for some landscaping for the theater, which has been recently renovated inside and definitely needed some "sprucing up" outdoors. Some landscaping materials had already been promised, but more was needed, so the garden club agreed to donate funds for some plantings, but wanted a lasting monument for their support of the theater and its activities. It was decided a bench would be nice for the garden area proposed, and Jane Nelson and her daughter, Mindy Jones were appointed Co-Chairmen to secure the bench. They went to Fran's on #59, where Fran Hopkins could not have been more helpful, and selected a granite bench, had it engraved with Fran's help, and placed it in the proposed theater garden. It is the hope of the club that many people will rest there and enjoy it for many years. Pat Libby 971-6277.
