Mr. Reetz's Annual Fall Bike-A-Thon is finally here. It will take place on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. The course will take the students from Gulf Shores Middle School, through the State Park to Orange Beach Police Dept. and back.

The total route is approximately 20 miles and all participants need to be prepared to get wet and muddy in the "Killer Mudhole". Mr. Reetz is going to be taking all responsible precautions to make sure this is a safe and fun event. Lunch will be provided by the PTSO and the OBPD.

To be involved in the Bike-A-Thon students need to have a minimum of eight pledges. An example of a pledge is getting a $1 for every mile you ride. If you ride 20 miles you have raised $20 on that pledge.

Mr. Reetz is offering some awesome prizes to students who raise money, including everything from red blinky lights to a Specialized Mountain Bike. There are some more cool prizes in between the mountain bike and the red blinking tail light, so you should see Mr. Reetz for more details.

Jill Chance, eighth grader, participated in the Bike-A-Thon last year and said this, “The Bike-A-Thon was really fun, but you get really muddy and wet.” Makenzie King said “tt was hard and hot. I got a big sunburn.” So if you want to participate in this fun event please see Mr. Reetz for more details.
