Gulf Shores Middle School students Morgan Lucas, Alana Harrison, Emily Davis, Katelin Kenyon, Caitlyn Martin and Sarah Taylor watch the launch of a balloon. Students in Mrs. Fisk's eighth grade science class have been studying the three phrases of matter. They have been learning about how gases behave under certain conditions. The students spent a week constructing the balloons and then launched them. There were 40 balloons launched throughout the day, and  no balloons were lost!
