Gulf Shores Plantation announces three social winners

GULF SHORES, Ala. — Three lucky winners were announced recently in Gulf Shores Plantation’s social contests.

Maria Jay of Geraldine Alabama won a gift bag of beach goodies just for following Gulf Shores Plantation on MySpace.

The selection of the winner was a random drawing from all followers on Gulf Shores Plantation’s MySpace, Facebook and Twitter sites, as well as recipients of the Plantation’s newsletter.

“We enjoy sharing news about Gulf Shores Plantation and the Alabama Gulf Coast area on our social sites,” said Donna Gordon, marketing director at Gulf Shores Plantation. “We appreciate the opportunity to engage in conversations with our customers and potential customers. The random drawing was our way of saying thank you.”

The second contest was the Gulf Shores Plantation Photo Album, where people could enter photos from their Gulf Shores/Orange Beach visits on Facebook, MySpace or directly on the Gulf Shores Plantation Web site.

The response was overwhelming and two winners were selected. Each received a three-night stay at Gulf Shores Plantation and a gift bag of beach goodies.

TJ and Nicole Freeman of Temple, Ga. won with a black and white photo of their daughter enjoying her time at the beach.

Mike and Kara Gross of St. Louis, Mo. won with a color photo of their son sitting on the beach at sunset.

“It was a great experience to see all the photos submitted for the contest,” said Pedro Mandoki, owner of Mandoki Hospitality. “We were initially planning on just one winner, but when we saw these two great entries, we couldn’t pick just one and decided to have two winners.”

Gulf Shores Plantation is located in Gulf Shores.
