GULF SHORES, Ala. - Single parents in Baldwin County can take advantage of a special scholarship offered by the Gulf Shores Woman’s Club. In an effort to promote continuing education and career training, the club’s Education Committee will interview single moms or dads for two $1,000 scholarships.
Unlike traditional scholarships, the money may be used for transportation or child care for those who are enrolled in college or post-high school technical programs. Deadline for submitting applications is Thursday, April 4.
