GulfQuest hires Visitor Services Director

Posted

MOBILE -- With an opening date set, the process of getting ready for hundreds of thousands of visitors just got pushed to the top of the priority list. And to put those processes in place, GulfQuest will be looking to its new Visitor Services Director, Candice Frazier.

Frazier’s role will include organizing and implementing the procedural and managerial aspects of visitor services, including ticketing/admissions for visitors, school groups, museum members and special groups. She will also be tasked with providing a consistent focus on customer service, ensuring the needs of all museum visitors are attended to professionally and promptly.

“Each position we have filled on our administrative team has had its own unique set of tasks and priorities as we gear up for opening day,” Tony Zodrow, Executive Director said. “Candice’s role over the next few months will be to get every procedure in place for the overall visitor experience. Basically, her area of responsibility is the front line of GulfQuest, the entry point for every person who visits. Her extensive background in patron relations and customer service is the perfect entry point to the museum world.”

Frazier’s background in patron relations and customer service for non-profit organizations includes eight years as Patron Services Manager for the Mobile Symphony where she implemented three ticketing software programs and trained new and existing staff on these programs. She also participated in planning and implementing customer service and special event programs for the MSO to ensure that all concertgoers enjoyed their experience.

Upon leaving the MSO, Frazier worked with the Mobile Ballet and the Alabama Contemporary Art Center managing patron services/community engagement and special events. Previous experience also includes working in the ticket office at the USA Mitchell Center for two years.

“I am very pleased to be a part of such a great team,” Frazier said. “I plan on making the GulfQuest experience first class, and I hope that our visitors will return time and time again, for themselves and with guests of their own. This museum is truly another bragging right for the entire Gulf Coast. I can’t wait to open the doors.”

Frazier is a graduate of the University of South Alabama where she earned a bachelor’s degree in music with a concentration in business.

Future hires at GulfQuest will include a Finance/HR Director and Special Events/Groups Sales Coordinator.
