Peggy Joyce Gunter, 77 a native of Hamilton, and a resident of Spanish Fort, died Friday, February 13, 2009 at Mobile Infirmary Hospital.
She served along side her husband at Spanish Fort Church Of Christ for over 35 years. She worked for Faulkner Community College as a G.E.D instructor for 12 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Charles E. Gunter.
Survivors include two daughters, Karen D. (Kelly) Phillips of Enterprise and Diane (Curtis) Gilliland of Montgomery; son, Glen (Sharon) Gunter of Mobile; seven grandchildren, Glendon (Shellie) Gunter, Elton (Venus) Gunter, Casandra (Marty) Miller, Neil (Sarah) Gilliland, Todd Gilliland, Heather (Todd) Davis, Christopher (Tina) Phillips; six great-grandchildren, Dylan Gunter, Cody Gunter, Derek Miller, Devin Miller, Taylor Davis and Quinn Phillips; a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation was held Sunday, Feb. 15 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Monday, Feb. 16 at Spanish Fort Church of Christ. Burial will follow at Jubilee Memorial Gardens, Daphne.
