Gunter Pindzig, 77, a native of Germany and a resident of Fairhope, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2014.
Gunter came to America in 1960 where he owned and operated a restaurant for 24 years. He traveled all around the world as a renowned chef.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Christa Pindzig of Fairhope; daughter, Susan Turner (Blake) of Fairhope; grandchildren, Ashley Minchella of Tucson, Ariz. and Haley Turner of Fairhope; and many other family and friends around the world.
A celebration of Gunter’s life will be held Sunday, Dec. 14, 2014, at 2 p.m., in the sanctuary at Fairhope United Methodist Church.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m., with the service to immediately follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the Shepherd’s Place at Fairhope United Methodist Church.
