Earl Wayne Haislip, 71, of Foley, died Monday, Sept. 17, 2007.
He was a retired Master Chief Petty Officer in the U.S. Navy. He served during the Vietnam War. he worked as the maintenance supervisor for Robertsdale High School. He was a local cattle farmer owning and operating Haislip Farms before retiring.
Survivors include his wife of over 50 years, Carolyn Alford Haislip of Foley; two daughters, Cheryl (Tony) Andres of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Barbara Boller of Foley; brother, Richard Haislip of Conway, S.C.; sister, Sue Gonzales of Mattoon, Ill.; two granddaughters, Candace and Cammie Boller, both of Foley.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20 at Foley First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21 at the church with the Rev. Billy Nale and the Rev. Earl Lee officiating. Graveside services with full military honors will follow at Pine Rest Memorial Park.
