Gerald Hunter Hall, 83, a native and resident of Bay Minette, died Saturday, April 17, 2010 at North Baldwin Infirmary.

He was a retired supervisor with Reichold Chemical and a retired Baptist minister. During his ministry, he was pastor of Perdido Baptist Church and New Life Baptist Church. He was named Pastor Emeritus of New Life Baptist Church in 2000; after retiring from New Life he served as interim pastor at Green Acres Baptist church and Eastwood Baptist church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II serving in the South Pacific and was an avid fox hunter.

He was preceded in death by his wife Barbara Bryars Hall and daughter, Julia Hall Dover.

Survivors include his wife, Louise Aaron Hall of Bay Minette; son, William H. (Janie W.) Hall of Bay Minette; three daughters, Joan Hall (Fred) Peaden, Mary Alyce (Ward) Davis and Lana J. McNichol, all of Bay Minette; 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday, April 19 at Norris Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 20 at New Life Baptist Church with the Rev. Otis Thames officiating. Burial will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Kyle Peaden, Frankie Stephens, Andrew Nesenson, Lucas Hall, Tucker Davis, Steven Stewart and Grant Everart.

The family requests memorial donations be made to Babs Hall Memorial Scholarship c/o New Life Baptist Church, 15620 Calvin Richerson Rd. Bay Minette, AL 36507.
