Jim and Susan Hamby of Elberta announce the engagement of their daughter, Gabby Hamby, to Jeremy Ringler, the son of Johnny Ringler of Bon Secour, and Diane Koptis of Robertsdale.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Foley High School and attends the University of South Alabama, majoring in occupational therapy. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Doris Fuqua of Nokomis, the late James Hamby Sr. of Sunnyside, Fla., and the late Madeline “Cookie” Hauber of Vernant Park.
The prospective bridegroom is a graduate of Robertsdale High School. He is the assistant manager of Southern Waters.
He is the grandson of Ollie Pippin and Loretta Daughtery and the late Eugene and Margie Ringler.
The couple will exchange vows March 13, 2010 at Foley First Baptist Church.
