DAPHNE — The Bayside Academy Vertical Team for Mathematics received national recognition this summer when Bayside teachers Lynn Le Fan and Linda Lott, led by Charlotte Hamilton, presented a program at the AP National Conference in Las Vegas.
The program was titled “Vertical Teaming as Applied to Problem Solving.”
The timing of the topic coincides with the release of research stating that this type of program is essential to the United States remaining competitive with other industrialized countries of the world.
Also, Hamilton was selected for the second year as an AP reader for the Calculus exam.
A select group of educators from across the nation gathered in Louisville, Ky., to grade 270,000 AP Calculus exams.
